    Title: update on us :)
Its been awhile since I posted but there is good reason! I have four children (all boys!), I work the store as well as assist Dave in the rental business and I now go to college! Yeah, that's crazy but hey, I had to do something to keep my brain stimulated :)

Our newest baby Christopher is just incredible! He has big bright blue eyes and is such a happy little boy. I cant believe he's already 8 months old!

David is three. My goodness what a character he is! Stubborn but sweet as can be. He's a stinker forsure. Definitely one Ill have to really watch ;)

Benjamin is 5 and started Kindergarten this year. He's a very sweet boy, gets along very well in school and loves going to St. Stans!

Jacob will be 13 on November 1st. All Saints Day :) He has become such a man, I cant believe it! I was just pulling him behind me in his little wagon out back just a few weeks ago it seems. Now he is taller than me, people no longer call him Trisha ;) because is voice is so deep now and :gasp: he's getting a mustache!

We have a new kitten named Flap Jack :) he's such a cool kitten. The boys just love him and that cat lets them drag him all over the house.

I just took a big test in A&P today, Im pretty sure I Aced it. Dave watched the kids while I studied and tested but boy, he was glad when I got home just 3 1/2 hours later!!! Whats up with men?? They watch their own kids for a few hours and freak out! LOL Poor guy... now if he had some mammory glands, things would have been so much easier ;)

Well the baby is stirring, work is done, I cant even say the darned words I have to memorize here (where the heck is the iliac and why does the darn nose have so many parts to it?!) so I better get to bed.

    thanks for reading :)

    Title: Im PREGNANT again!
Holy cow, I'm still in shock lol! Heres the story ;)

Mothers Day also happened to be my 39th birthday. I had been tossing and turning all night wondering why af hadn't started yet. As soon as I woke up I told Dave "Don't freak out but I'm going to take a pregnancy test". The test came up negative. I let Dave know and checked out the calendar so I could see when af should start and what was going on. It was then that I realized that we did the baby dance on cd 13! The baby lost my basal thermometer so I was guessing by cm and I thought it was the end of ovulation. DUH! Bad guess LOL, it was probably the beginning! I ran downstairs and dug the test out of the trash and sure enough, faint but totally there, two pink lines!

Wow, what a birthday and Mothers Day gift! Btw, I was born on Sunday, Mothers Day too :) Dave and I really thought we were done. I'm no spring chicken ya know. We thought we would enjoy the ages of the kids and go camping, fishing... heck! I filled out for a bear license this year totally expecting to go to the UP for some sweet black bear hunting! Watch, for the first time in 5 years, Ill win the draw and wont be able to hunt :( Anyway, the point is, this pregnancy is a total shock. 39 years old and pregnant.

I am very happy though :) God had a good plan for us. I told Dave that NFP works perfectly, its how you interpret it lol! I don't want to know what this baby will be until s/he arrives. I have a midwife already lined up and told her my intentions. I wish to have a waterbirth and catch my own baby. I only want her there for the details after the baby is born. Can you imagine? I'm going to deliver my own baby and everything about it will be totally natural! Even finding the sex at the time of birth. I'm so excited!!!!

    Wish me luck Mamas!!

    Title: inventory/benjamins preschool
Anyone want to take over here?? If you could just see this huge pile of product growing that I need to add into inventory you would just slap me! lol I have probably 30 pairs of shoes, tons of Medela accessories, wet bags, Kidorables, boxes of bras, slings... I really should be adding these right now but Im too tired. I just got done packing orders for tomorrow because I have a meeting at the school and cant do them then. Some day ;) Ill be caught up then...

On a personal note, Benjamin went to preschool today. I wasnt going to send him but he has been begging since Jacob started school and they just got an opening. It actually goes through summer. I spent about 2 hours there with him today. He did so well! David was with me and he was well behaved too. I think they were both just overwhelmed with all the toys and fun things to do! Benjamin sat down during circle time and did everything they asked! I was so proud! What a good boy he is :) Of course, near the end, David started climbing in my lap to nurse lol. Typically I wouldnt care but I had three other preschool little girls all toting over David. Whipping out a boobie for my 20 month old son probably wouldnt fly well right there lol.

Well on that note, David will probably be waking soon so Im off :) Nite all!

    Title: Diva Update
Ok so I think I'm on cycle #4 with the increasingly awesome Diva Cup. I've had a few customers send me hints and I've tried a few ;) I wasn't exactly sure why I should stand and hop around a little but sure enough, it really did help lol. Apparently, I was not getting the cup around my cervix well. It was sitting a little too low. By inserting it way in there (yeah, serious ick factor if you're not used to the netherlands ;) you get a good seal on the cervix by bouncing around while holding it in. See, after some deep exploration, I found I wasn't quite getting that cup all the way around my cervix. Last month I sat there rotating that thing 15 times to get the suction to release and it still sat low but I wasn't around the cervix. I needed to really go in far and make sure it was setting properly. Now that I really got in there a few times, saw what I needed to do, its great! No cramps, no fainting, very little rotating, add the hops and I'm so good to go WOOHOO! I just pray I never forget to lock that bathroom door ....

    bwaaaahhhhhaaaa

Last observation: My heaviest day (full 2nd day) is getting lighter. Over all I'm spotting a day, bleeding another and spotting a 3rd. The first few cycles I had some heavy bleeding for two days. Last month it was so heavy for that one day I changed the Diva a few times. This month was gravy!! No leaks, full cup 3 times is it. This is so remarkable to me. My whole life, I've been a full 7 day bleeder, it sucked! I know snopes.com says there's no link to tampons causing longer bleeding thus needing more tampons but whats up here? I switch to the Diva and I'm done in 3 days... just one heavy bleeding day and that's it!

Ill say that if a woman can overcome the 'ick' factor of getting in there, understanding how the Diva Cup is supposed to work and stopping the tampons.. after a few months they will wonder why they didn't try it sooner. Now.. I promise, I don't say this because I sell these things, I say it because its a seriously safer alternative. I sell it because its BETTER than tampons. Sure it has a learning curve but man... its worth it!

Now, if I could just figure out why I ovulate on cd 18-19 and af shows up on cd 28-29 (short LH phase) Ill be good to go. It doesn't seem to be enough to sustain a pregnancy. Not that I'm worried about that now mind you!!! Just wondering if becoming 39 soon has something to do with it getting harder to ttc. I'm batting a 1000 so far with getting pg.

    Anyway, that's another entry ;)

    Nite all!

    Trisha

    Title: New Bravado Bra
WOW! I just received a sample bra from Bravado, they have a new bra out, its a regular nursing bra nad its amazing! I wish they would have sent me one that fit though lol. Its super soft, looks incredibly comfortable. Very silky. Im very impressed. I cant wait to try one :)

On a business level its tough when this kind of thing happens though.. see, for me to carry every size, color and style costs a small fortune! I currently have about 70+ bras in stock. Im still working on getting all colors/prints of the regular comfort line they have. Now for me to add this new line with sizes and colors! Sheesh, itll be tough to say the least. I think I will just order every Monday and hope Bravado ships to me really fast ;) I hate to keep customers waiting for more than a day or two, I also hate to put in there that orders will ship in a week. They might go somewhere else. So as you see, things arent always smooth sailing here in the wahm world. In the end, it all works out. When you have a really great product, it will sell and I know Bravados will so they are worth it.

    Nite :)

    Title: What a month!
Holy cow what a busy month this has been! Today is the first slow day I've had so I thought Id blog ;) If anyone has emailed me or needs my attention, please email me again... my computer is slightly unstable lately so I may have missed you.

The Swaddlebees sale was a HUGE hit! I'm personally very pleased with the improvements Margarita has made on these diapers and we have switched over for day use.

The Peter Potty has been listed on HGTV so I've received tons of orders for these. It really is a cool product, too bad they cost so much to ship ;)

Ruffle Bunz are a hot item again! I've been sewing like crazy lately, I should be sewing another right now while the baby is sleeping and Dave has the kids running errands... its just so quiet here *sigh* I really enjoy this :) Anyway, watch for new Ruffle Bunz, I'm working on a few new cute ideas.

Fuzzi Bunz packages with free inserts are a very big seller now. I think most mamas are very pleased with the new LiL Bunz microfiber inserts (most absorbent I could find). My stock will be replenished by Thursday (mediums were low) and that's a very good thing. Everyone needs mediums.

Ya know, its interesting how things go in waves. It really has to do with whats being said on message boards and yahoo groups. Suddenly someone will start saying how GREAT Kissaluvs are and for a month Ill sell everything I have. Then nothing for two months. Then Imse Vimse covers will be the biggest seller in the store for weeks, more than even Fuzzi Bunz, then nothing. Everything has its rotation. All us WAHM diaper retailers see it. Its funny really. When we see the trend we know to stock up.

Ok well I better get to sewing now, I want to make a few new Ruffle Bunz that I mentioned above to show everyone :) Thanks for everyone's support too, without the understanding, patience and kind words from all you wonderful customers LiL Bunz would not be what it is today. HUGS!!!!!

    Trisha :)

    Title: Diva Cup
Warning... this may be tmi for some ;)

Ok so finally, after over two years I get to try my Diva Cup (I've only had two cycles since March 2001 lol). It came as a HUGE shock! I was at my brothers down state to visit the family. Thankfully I kept one pad and my diva in the truck. Do you think I took the time to read the directions in the last few years that I've been carrying these things?? noooooo.. not me. To busy! BAD IDEA! So I stick this crazy contraption in and think ok, not so bad. Then I stood up. Whoooosh, things got kinda fuzzy. I sat down, didn't feel so good. The cramps started. I slowly took the thing out. Tried again, same thing. Ok, guess I'm doing something wrong. I put it away and resorted to awful tampons. I promptly called Diva as soon as I got home and told them what happened. She knew right away what I did wrong. "Did you give the cup a full rotation to release the suction of the cup?" Ummm, no. That explained it. The cup had some super vacuum going on my cervix and my body didn't like that one single bit! Maybe it was drawing all my blood down out of my brain? lol Anyway, so this next cycle comes along and I rotate. This is tricky. It takes practice but when I stood I felt much much better! I still felt it was uncomfortable when sitting so Diva suggested maybe I try a size 1. This did the trick! No dizziness, no pain, no troubles twisting at all. It doesn't hold as much as the size 2 but still, I only had to change it 4 times on my heaviest day. Just 3 the next and 2 the last day. That was it, just three days and it was totally over! I heard some women have shorter cycles and I was way happy about this!

So ladies, if you try the Diva Cup and you're impatient like me, you may have trouble lol. Call Diva, they will figure anything out. I like the guarantee too, I was able to replace my size 2 for free.

If anyone thinks that's too much information for a blog, let me know. I just thought maybe some personal views on this item might help someone else :)

    Title: Luna Wash
I have a new product called Luna Wash. Its a spray you spritz your used mama pads with and it pre-treats them. Some have asked if its good to use on stained diapers so I've been trying it. So far, I'm surprised and pleased. David has low iron so his natural vitamins have iron in them. This makes for some nasty poops with terrible stains, even on his Fuzzi Bunz. I noticed it doesn't really help the set stains but the freshly stained diapers do wash out well (not completely but better than nothing). I haven't noticed any buildup yet but that will probably take a few weeks to determine. I think I like this product for diapers over all especially in the winter when I'm less likely to stand out in the snow and 20 degree weather to sun them.

The only real drawback to this product is its price and cost to ship. I've asked the cook to make a concentrate. This would be a great solution as it will be cheaper to ship to me, cheaper to the customer and then I could lower the price a little. Natural products have very little profit but if its something that works then I don't mind carrying it. Personally, for diaper use, Id dilute it more than what it is now. Ill post more on this soon :)

    Title: 1st blog
Well, lets see how this shows up in the store :) This is my first blog ever though I have read some. Last night as a matter of fact I read someone's blog. There was a huge ring around the moon so I googled it and one of the first things to come up was someone's blog. My 11 year old son noticed the ring. It was the first one I ever recall seeing. It was fascinating really. The weather was very cold, about 20 degrees and hazy yet in this ring the sky was crystal clear. We could see a star or two. The moon was very bright and at least nearly full. Very cool indeed! We found some great pictures too. Folk lore says 'ring around the moon, storm at noon' and anther says to count the number of stars in the ring, that's how many days away the storm is. I watched the weather report and we are due to get lots of snow all week but nothing significant. Jacob and I will be watching to see what really happens ;)

Ok so a little about me and my family. I'm Trisha, married to Dave and we have three boys. Jacob is 11, Benjamin is 3 1/2 and David is 18 months. I lost a baby at 3 1/2 months pregnant before Benjamin, his name is Isaac. I'm going to be 39 in May so I don't think we will have more. NFP works very well however God will make the ultimate decision on that.

I began my store LiL Bunz in late 2002 and opened in early 2003. Its been a lot of work and in the first year or more, I made no profits. I knew that in order to be successful I needed to put my money back into the company. I am still expanding and the store is completely debt free. I pay myself modestly, enough to contribute to the family bills and enjoy staying home with my children. Its not always easy though.. there are times when I don't make a cent for two weeks. That's when I think I better do something else but the Lord always finds a way to keep us afloat so I can be here with my kids.

As you may be able to tell, we are a God loving home. We are Catholic. When Dave and I married in 2000 we went on our honeymoon in Rome and had our marriage blessed by the holy father Pope John Paul II (he will be a saint). He gave me a beautiful rosary as a wedding gift and blessed it. Poor Dave, he thought he would catch on fire right there and then! It was the beginning of our life as a Catholic family. After I lost Isaac and was on bed rest for six months with Benjamin, Dave began to pray. He decided to become Catholic and received personal instruction by the Franciscan Fryers. Dave was baptized with his son Benjamin and received all his sacraments. I also contribute Dave's coming to the faith to the green scapular I placed under his side of the mattress ;) very powerful tool!

Well anyway, that's enough today... Ill try to post weekly if anyone's interested.

    Peace~
